Regulatory Expertise: Mining

We provided a mining operations client with a Mine Reclamation and Closure Plan (MRCP) in accordance with state-required statutes in order to properly close a mine in the southwestern U.S. We thoroughly reviewed current operating procedures and state regulations, conducted a site visit and interviewed staff, created extensive GIS mapping, and developed an engineering cost estimate for mine closure, properly reviewed by an AlterEcho Professional Geologist. We prepared the original MRCP and a subsequent update to the plan, both of which were approved by the state regulator.
